Timor Telecom supports Timor Tour for the 5th time
In this 6th edition of Timor Tour, Timor Telecom teams up for the 5th consecutive year with the biggest cycling event of Timor-Leste. This non-for-profit event is organised once again by the Ministry of Tourism and sponsored by Timor Telecom.
With the main aim of promoting peace and friendship among people, the Timor Tour has become one of the most emblematic sport competition events in the region due to its rough route but breathtaking landscape. 2014 Timor Tour will start and finish in Dili and it will take place from the 13th to the 17th of September, counting with 80 participants from worldwide. This year’s Tour comprises 364.7 km, crossing the District of Dili, Ermera and Bobonaro and reaching its higher peak at 1942 m, right at the first stage of the Tour. The total money prize is USD 32,300.00.
Sharing the spotlight will be the Timor Telecom sponsored athletes: Noélio Reis, Eugénio Tilman, David Gonçalves, Ivan Araújo, Noe Vong and Leonel Gonçalves, who will participate with the aim of reaching the highest positions of the Tour.
Sponsoring the Timor Tour and this Elite Athletes group, Timor Telecom, an operator with almost 12 years’ history in Timor-Leste, aims to promote sports at a national level, contributing to a country where sports become a common practice and standing for a healthier lifestyle.
